Main window
The main window is close to usual famous instant messenger programs. You will see your private contacts...and others that you don't know ! Indeed, what is new is that users currently visiting same websites are also displayed. Therefore you are able to contact people sharing same interests !
To chat with a user, click with left mouse button on his avatar. A dialog window will appear (see Chatrooms section below for more details).
A left click on your nickname at the top of client will edit your profile.
To modify your status, click on your current status (at the right of your nickname) to choose a new one. If you are not active, you will switch automatically to "no activity" after a short period of time
When you visit a website with your usual browser, Internet address of the visited website appears in the main window of WoozTalk application. Below this address, you should see images (called avatars) representing each user already connected to this website. Discuss
- with one of them in privacy just by clicking with left mouse button on his/her avatar
- in public chatroom related to www.wooztalk.com by clicking with left mouse button on the grey bubble on the left of website address
- Login with status : it defines default status that will be used when you connect to WoozTalk.
- Switch to "No activity" after : it defines how long it will take to change your status to "No activity" when you are not active on your computer.
- Connect to WoozTalk network on startup : if you check this box, you will auto-connect to WoozTalk network when you start WoozTalk program.
- Retry on network failure : if you check this box, WoozTalk client will try to re-connect automatically to server
- Port for file transfers : port to use on which other users will connect when you want to share a file with them. You may have to allow these connections if you are behind a firewall.
- Proxy settings : check this box if you connect to Internet through a proxy. You will have to specify ip address and port to use.
- Run WoozTalk on Windows startup : WoozTalk will start when you start Windows. If the box is not checked, you will have to start WoozTalk program manually from menu.
- WoozTalk visible on startup : WoozTalk will be visible when it starts. If the box is not checked, client will start minimize in systray.
- Always on top : check box if you want to keep WoozTalk client visible on the top of all your other applications.
- When you close WoozTalk : let you choose what will happen when you will close the main window. You can decide to "exit" WoozTalk or "Reduce" WoozTalk to systray or to answer to the question each time you will close the main window.
- Nickname : nickname that is displayed to other users
- Mood : this is optional. You may add a mood.
- Birth date : Date of your birth

- Sites are opened by default : WoozTalk server will be informed when you visit a website. It is needed to send you the list of users currently connected to the same website. You may block a specific website by adding its url in bottom section of Websites manager.
- Sites are blocked by default : WoozTalk server will not be informed when you you visit a website. In that case, we will not be able to send you the list of people currently connected to websites you are visiting. You may allow specific website by adding its url in bottom section of Websites manager.
will let you add website url on which you don't want to be visible enom other WoozTalkers (Of course, you will not see the other WoozTalkers on this website too)

- Login: login of WoozTalker
- Gender: Man (blue square) or Woman (pink square)
- Status: WoozTalker status
- Birthdate: WoozTalker birthdate
- Location: location of WoozTalker
- Group: Group name to which WoozTalker belongs to if you define any
- when this contact connects to WoozTalk (only possible if he's one of your private contact)
- when this contact disconnects from WoozTalk (only possible if he's one of your private contact)
- when this contact opens / connects to a website on which you are already connected
- when this contact closes / disconnects from a website on which you are connected
- when this contact subscribes to / join a chatroom on which you have already subscribed
- when this contact unsubscribes from / leaves a chatroom on which you have subscribed
For example, on the screenshot above, there are 3 users currently connected on www.wooztalk.com website. Border of the third avatar is orange. It means that this user has joined public chatroom of www.wooztalk.com.

When you click on the preference icon you will open Preferences window.

My Profile
You can edit your profile by clicking on your nickname. This section lets you define personnal information.

Click on "Update profile" button to save changes.
Notifications section (2)
This section will define the default behaviour for notifications (bell sound and popup at the right bottom).
indicates that you will get a popup notification.
indicates that you wont' get a popup notification.
indicates that you will get a sound notification.
indicates that you will not get a sound notification.
You may choose behaviour for following events :
Picture (3)
If you click on the picture, you will be prompted to select a new one. The picture you select will be automatically resize to 64x64 pixels.
Chatrooms
Websites manager
This window allows you to define default policy when you visit a website.
You have two choices :
If you are in first mode,
If you are in second mode,
WoozTalkers manager
Add new contacts (1)
Enter login or email of a contact you want to invite on your private list of contacts and click "check and invite" button.
Groups (2)
This section let you add or remove groups in which you can classify your private contacts. Just click the "Add" button to create a new group. After, you may add a contact in this group by editing profile of your contact and selecting this group. Just click the "Remove" button to remove a group. After removing, all contacts that were belonging to this group will belong to the default group.

Events messages related to invitation will be displayed in this panel.
Default notifications when a WoozTalker... (4)
This section lets you define notifications behavior for events related to other WoozTalkers.
indicates that you will get a popup notification.
indicates that you will not get a popup notification.
indicates that you will get a sound notification.
indicates that you will not get a sound notification.
You can define these notifications for the following events :
Downloads manager
This window lets you visualize donwloads that occured or are in progress. On the left (1), this is the list of files you have downloaded. On the right (2), this is the list of files you share and that have been downloaded by other WoozTalkers.
Contact public information and notifications
You can consult public information of a WoozTalker by clicking on his avatar with right mouse button and by selecting "Display public information and notifications". A window like the one below will appear.
The first section (1) displays following informations :
The second section (2) lets you define notifications behavior related to this contact. Therefore, you can define if you want to be notified for following events :
By default, notifications are set up to the ones defined in WoozTalkers manager. Possible values for notifications are :
(default value) indicates that value used is the one defined in WoozTalkers manager.
indicates that you will get a popup notification.
indicates that you wont' get a popup notification.
(default value) indicates that value used is the one defined in WoozTalkers manager.
indicates that you will get a sound notification.
indicates that you will not get a sound notification.
